I really, really like drawing wide-eyed characters. It conveys so much emotion compared to any other expression. It can mean so many things. It's also really fun to shade, and today was a day where I decided to put more effort into the shading, so it felt appropriate. I'm very satisfied with the way I applied the same choice to the lineart, especially because it only took me a minute or so - it really brings the rest of the drawing together.
This has always been one of my more angular character designs, but I decided to dial it up even more for this. Not for any deep meaning, but merely because I have fun with sharp drawings. I'd like to think it contrasts nicely with the blood pooling beneath her from her hands.
