The self portrait day. I picked my favorite hue: that nice middle ground between blue and green. My favorite hex code is 45c1df, which has a hue value of 194. That's much closer to day 22's 191 hue value instead of today's 182, but something about this one called much more to me. Probably because it can be used for both grass and sky depending on the saturation, and both are some of my favorite things to draw - fitting that they'd go in the piece that's supposed to be all about me.
I draw myself in two different ways: one mimics the way I actually look like, and the other is a bastardization that started out like the former, but slowly evolved into its own beast entirely. It's very easy and simple to draw, and I find myself scribbling it in the margins of my papers often. It's become almost a shorthand for the concept of myself as a person, and if I was more full of myself I would draw it in lieu of my signature.
I've always wanted to play with the idea of things in the distance taking up more of the color of the sky, like how mountains that are farther away appear to be more blue, but I haven't had the time to really play around with it yet. I'm happy with how this first experiment turned out.
